Pine Forest of Oak Island is pleased to announce the opening of Novant Health’s primary care facility on Highway 211 in Brunswick County. Public is invited to attend celebration on Thursday, October 26th.
Oak Island, NC, October 9th, 2017 – As soon as construction of the new Novant Health Family Medicine Pine Forest completed, Novant Health welcomed patients through its doors on Monday, October 2nd in the Pine Forest Medical Campus. The family medicine clinic is located in the new Pine Forest retirement community on Highway 211 in Brunswick County with convenient access to Oak Island, Southport, St. James, and surrounding region.
Formerly Novant Health Oceanside Family Medicine in Southport, the clinic has officially relocated to the new Pine Forest location at 2950 Pine Plantation Pkwy, Bolivia, NC 28422. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. EST. An open house will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 3 to 6 p.m. with local residents and special guests cordially invited.
Staffed by Dr. Pilar Johnson, Dr. John Scheck, Dr. Ryan Tighe, and Sara Clagg, family nurse practitioner, the Novant Health Family Medicine Pine Forest clinic provides quality care for patients of all ages.
Services include the following:
- Newborn and pediatric care
- Adolescent, adult and senior care
- Preventive healthcare
- Well-child care
- Care for acute and ongoing illness
- School, sports and employment physicals
- Routine gynecological care, including Pap tests and postmenopausal care

The Novant Health clinic is the first facility to open in the Medical Campus at Pine Forest with future medical providers and services planned to open in the future. Both medical and commercial opportunities are available through the Pine Forest development project.
