Pine Forest Senior Living - A Summary

In short, we aim to provide convenient access to all services, amenities and activities that retirees or those soon to retire could want or need, within one community. Active adults often must transition from fully independent living to assisted living or skilling nursing facility later in life, with few services in between to support differing levels of self-sufficiency. Pine Forest Plantation looks to bridge that gap with its integrated health continuum of care, providing access to personal and concierge services, and medical care as needed, while allowing for a full active lifestyle, all within a carefully preserved natural setting ideal for walking, biking, and more.

Pine Forest will be the first senior living community in Southeastern North Carolina combining the active lifestyle desired by senior citizens with the medical care required during the aging process. Residential options ranging from single family homes to multi-family options, ownership and rental, will be supplemented by independent, senior living, and memory care facilities to accommodate our residents’ needs, today and tomorrow. 
The expansive project will also include a town center district with commercial offerings, in addition to medical care.

Onsite Medical Campus

The first building constructed at Pine Forest of Oak Island is a 10,000 SF medical office near the Highway 211 entrance. The entire building is leased to Novant Healthcare and will be home to a variety of specialties.  Plans for the second and third building sites are now underway. The Landings of Oak Island brings the first high-quality Assisted Living and Secured Memory Care services to Pine Forest and the Southport-Oak Island community.

Pine Forest stretches over acres of Oak Island's mainland with single family residential homes by some of the most prominent builders in the region, Trusst Building Group and Legacy Homes by Bill Clark. These homes are set in a beautiful neighborhood thoughtfully designed with convenient access to a residential community clubhouse amenity park with Clubhouse, Fitness Center, Pool, and more. Residents are a short walk, bike, or golf-cart ride away from the Pine Forest Medical Campus with Novant Health medical clinic and The Landings of Oak Island's assisted living and memory care. This residential concept with commercial Town Center and integrated Progressive Care, Parks, Trails, Amenities and much more, make Pine Forest a unique community in the Wilmington, Southport, and Oak Island coastal region.

Phase I Master Plan

As our community grows, future announcements will only improve and enhance what Pine Forest has to offer. Today, Phase I of our community provides retirees and their aging parents many unique options. In addition to single family lots and homes in The Lakes of Pine Forest, we’re proud to bring brand new Apartment Homes from Hawthorne at Pine Forest. These luxurious apartment condominiums will bring many amenities to rental residents in 1, 2, and 3 Bedroom open-concept floor plan apartment homes. Hawthorne Pine Forest Residents will have access to an exclusive amenity center unique to the apartment homes.
